The idea for this next project started with the purchase of a bandana for a friend. I thought "hmm that could be cool to paint on." So I went and bought a second and stretched it over stretcher bars (same way you would canvas.) I then put on a few layers of matte medium to seal it up a bit. The lettering was added with pen & ink and gray conte around the outline of the 'dritte mann'.
Next I laid in an ink wash within the outline.

This was phase two and three of the LP from last week.
More messing with the background. The pink underwent alot of layering to get it to to where I could leave it be.
After that, the figure was added in, filled with a latex basecoat, and then drawn over...
