No update this week. Between this being the BUSIEST work week in my industry and hosting a Thanksgiving dinner with my roommate = this gets a break. See ya later next week.

Just a short entry this week. Work's been kinda hectic so not much art making going on, but at least enough to post something new.

I sent a couple of works over to a show happening in Spain called: I <3 BeerMats. "Beermats," you say, "What are those?" Well here in the US we call them coasters. Essentially the show's curator asked artists to collect a few beermats, make them into art, and submit 'em. So that's #1 over on right. They're both done with acrylic, a collaged fortune and ballpoint pen over two beermats that were glued together.
Here's beermat #2

Whoa. It's been about a month since I've posted here. Yes, yes indeed. Where I have been? I moved. Did you forget? If you haven't yet, you can check out my photo documentation of the trip over on my photoblog. But now I'm back and posts should occur weekly once again.

Over on the right is the last piece I made before I left Chicago. It's a reprise of a small mixed media drawing I did while I was in Indianapolis called textgirl. It was a request, and no, you cannot have one. Sorry.
The piece was done over a cut down advertisement; it's 16"x20". The image was painted with acrylic, the text is collaged of course, pages were taken from "The Turn Of the Screw". The painted line of text is from the Cure's Disintegration.
Here are versions:
one
two
three
Lastly, sometimes I pretend like I'm clever.
Let's see, what else? The Vinyl Killers 3 at Zeitgeist gallery in Portland was a success according to the show's organizer (Klutch, who is linked in the sidebar) even though the weather was being quite uncooperative. My LPs can be seen here, top row, 2 on the right, alongside San Diego artist ramendeath.
K-Swiss has decided to buy my three remaining / unsold artworks that went to Asia as part of the K-Spray tour. Nice. If I remember correctly, they're going to be displayed in their concept stores over in Asia.
