Not too much going on this week. Did a bit more on the Big Hair painting. I transferred all of the interior linework form the original vellum sketch onto the white underpainting. After that I went back over the lines with a Sharpie... and that's where it's at.

There's quite a few up there already and still more to be added. I have three pieces still available, they are in fact the last stencils I made in 'the stencil era.' Scroll down through the gallery and you'll find:
- John Wayne in Pink
- Corset Girl [the last ever]
- the Hangman
So buy if you are so inclined.
Diesel Fuel prints makes alot of excellent excellent show posters. They also host alot of great artists' shows in their space. Two people I really like, Klutch and Tara MacPherson were recently shown there.

Transferred the drawing and then the filled in the figure with a light layer of white latex. I want a fair amount of the splattered background to show through so I was careful about going too opaque too fast. Started some other smaller projects as well.

As for the handstyle of the week, Maxwell was the word.

New painting in the works. Over on the right is the first stage of the line drawing that will be used. It's a sharpie drawing on vellum. I'll then transfer this onto the board you see linked a bit further on in this post.

The substrate for this piece is another 2ft x 2ft plywood board. [Same as the creepy doll from the June 8th post.] It's a companion piece in some sense or another I guess. The first and second layer are white and then a [bright] red background layer of latex. Some white splattering added over the top of that set-up.
Here's another entry from the handstyle battle I've been messing around in: specsavers.
